removing key barrel from steering column
Key turns in column, but will not engage ignition. all locks work. want to replace part, but cannot get barrel from column. steering wheel, turn sinal ***'y removed... Help?

removing key barrel from steering column
what type and year? try this anyway 1. turn key to RUN 2. after plastic trim is removed from bottom of upper steering column locate the small pin on bottom of column below key and tumbler 3. insert small punch,screw driver (what ever) to push pin in then pull out key and tumbler.
