Gonna get a new set and can't make up my mind if I want smoked or clear. Wondering if I could see some pictures preferably a 92-96 with chrome bezels and grille
To me safety is first, so clear, no matter the appearance. I think that it's dumb (to say the least) making it harder for you to drive while also making your car harder to be spotted at night.
If the lens is actually tinted, than I'd say just go with clear so you don't lose light output.
Now if the lens is clear and the smoked look is done by coloring the inside of the housing black except for the reflector, then yeah I'd be all over that. Look at some 99-04 Mustang headlights, this is how Ford did it without actually tinting the lenses.
I had the 70$ eBay black headlights on my 94 f350. I had to replace the bulbs so I could even see out if then but I had 2 original 20 year old fCtory bulbs in it. These headlights don't make it that hard to see honestly, but I would recommend some sort of fog lights to help you see if possible.

The lights on mine are all made by Depo, and I picked them up on Ebay.
When I first got them I had a problem with the corner lights getting moisture inside of them when it was really humid, but with the advise of another member of this former, (pretty sure it was Diesel_Brad) I put some silicone in the seam on the backside of the light, and I haven't had a problem.
These are the ones that I bought but they were only 50 bucks for the set when I got them..Made by EUTOGRILLES. They are cheaply made... http://www.ebay.com/itm/92-96-F150-F250-F350-Bronco-CLEAR-LENS-BLACK-Crystal-Head-Lights-Lamp-Headlight-/170896161073?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A1992%7CModel%3AF-150&hash=item27ca347931&vxp=mtr

Those were one of the ones I was looking at... Cheaply made I don't like to hear tho
The plastic on the surface of the headlights are really thin. I guessing 50% thinner then OEM.
I had a issue with the rods popping out of the sockets... I had to use a rod from my OEM headlights to fix one of them. At one point I had to drill out the socket and use a bolt and nut and then 2 more nuts to adjust the headlights going up and down..
Also the corners have a hole in the bottom of them for drainage. They end up fogging up when its wet outside.
Although they make a huge difference at night when driving compared to my faded out OEM head lights.
Idk if it's worth the price that they ask for for a complete set .. I have aftermarket headlights on my truck now but they are over 5 years old and I just want to change it up
