I'm looking for some headlight upgrades for my '92 Ranger. The original lenses are turning yellow and it looks kinda tacky.I do know how to fix this problem, but I would rather upgrade the lights instead.LMC Truck has a set of Halogen upgrade kits,(lens, housing, brackets, etc.),which are $59.95 each, including bulbs.Or,should I just clean up my lenses and install better bulbs? What are the best bulbs to get if I go that route?I don't know what the legal limit is around here on bulb watts, but I just need some ideas.I can check with the police to find out for sure what it is.
I bought clear corners from streetbeatcustoms and then I tried to clean my headlights but it was difficult removing the lens from the housing with cracking the edges of the len. I would buy new ones. That is what I plan on doing from streetbeatcustoms. They have the best prices for the quality.

Thanks for the tip.I'll check them out.I'm going to go with clear corners also and I don't want those bright white clears to be shining true against those dull 'ol lenses .If nothing else,I'll buy those assemblies from LMC Truck.Their price seems reasonable.
The headlights on my '94 Taurus were a little yellow so I ended up cleaning the lenses real good and installing a couple of Sylvania Silverstar bulbs. 100% improvement in terms of better nightime vision and making the car look better in the dark with the lights on.
Thanks for the tip.I'll have to check those out. What is the best thing to clean the dull lenses with?I think that mine are due to moisture though.Would it be better just to replace the whole housing or to try and remove the water and clean the lenses?I could drill a hole in the corner of the lens to let it drain out, then put a dab of super glue back over it.Then,if it got muggy again,I could punch the little dribble of glue out and repeat the process...
I have a '94 and mine were yellow. I used CLR cleaner on the outside which removed a lot of the grime and most of the yellow. The best upgrade i can say is Silvannia Silverstar headlights. They are incredible, especially since i got them from Pep Boys on sale for 12 dollars a peice, otherwise they do get expensive.
