I've got a 2001 E250 gas van. I noticed a fluid in the passenger wheel well, apparently leaking thru from engine bay via what probably is a cable- holder on the other side. There was fluid on top of the battery, and on the fitting aft of it, and on the flex conduit of the positive battery cable. But one elsewhere icould see. Fluid seems to be greenish, and slick like hydraulic fluid but not oil. Repels water.
I suspect air con; getting a bit of a rotational noise and it seems to change when I flick on air con. But I'm off-roading and bels often get dusty and a bit noisier. Air con still works though .

At the point oil leaks out of the AC system, I doubt there'd be enough refrigerant to overcome the low pressure switch. Basically, the compressor wouldn't engage. Is your coolant green?
