if you have access to an air compressor then blow air into the fitting and the piston should come out. Make sure that you are wearing safety glasses just in case brake fluid goes everywhere.
I had to do this on my goldwing when the calipers froze.
Lay it in the grass with the piston pointed up. Put a piece of 2x4 over the caliper and tap the wood pretty hard with a hammer (you should be tapping on the caliper and not the piston). Inertia should maker the piston walk up out of the caliper. I said to lay it on the grass because the caliper has to be able to move a little every time you hit it. You can also do this in your lap, but it might get messy. Won't work on concrete or asphalt.
You can always hook it back up to the brake line. Pump the pedal a few times and the fluid will push the piston out. Watch your master cylinder and keep it filled with brake fluid. This is a good chance to get new brake fluid in the system too.
