Is this a cab and chassis truck or a pickup? Mine was off by maybe 1/4" but definitely not 2".

This is your problem. You have the hanger for a pickup, the cab and chasis use 2 1/4" springs, the pickup us the wide springs.

Yep. I can't believe I missed that one earlier on. IIRC if you look at the title or registration of your truck there it will list the model as a F-59? Does that sound right? If that's the case then you need this part instead:
More Information for SHERMAN 57582H

Rock sells them for about $34 each and they're a non-stock item so they'll take a little longer to get there.

That's my bad. For whatever role I played in getting you the wrong parts, I apologize. I didn't realize it was a C&C and not a pickup.

The hanger was the same as the other side other then one hole being off its the shackle that's different. I called my spring shop and he said all of the spring packs are the same width so I don't know what the deal is. I double checked with him before ordering the part and he told me it was the one I needed. I have no tag on my cabs door opening either.

Is it titled and registered as a truck or as an F59?

There is definitely a difference in the springs between a truck and a cab and chassis because of the narrower frame and axle perches.

Its a cab and chassis truck. Its a 10' dump but I don't recall ever seeing F59 on anything.

The title has it listed as a F350 I just looked. Here are a couple pics I shot of the differences.

How wide are your springs if you measure them?

Two and a half inches at the bushing roughly. There is an inch gap you see in that pic.

Pickup springs are 3" wide. You have cab and chassis truck there and it requires different hangers and shackles than a pickup. I wouldn't be surprised if there was nearly a half inch of space in mine before I cinched the bolts down and drew it together, so that likely accounts for the additional space you're seeing.

Try these guys, I have had good luck with them. This is the shackle for the cab and chasis 1980-1997 Ford F350 (2 1/4 Springs) - Rear of Rear Shackle - 330-171 | $28.95 . If you scroll down you will see the replacement hanger.
