Subwoofer Question

My 2001 Navi has the stock Alpine radio in it but the subwoofer is not kicking on, has anyone else had this problem? I'm going to dig into deeper tomorrow just curious if anyone can point me to a good starting point to troubleshoot. Thanks guys.

If your Navi is set up like my 98 Expe, the subwoofer is all the way in the back passenger side. There is an amp right in front of the subwoofer. Maybe check that?
