Where would I find this amp if I had one.

not sure yet, but I think I have the premium sound unit. The sound from the radio just stopped, yet radio remains on and , visually, functioning; lights up, changes stations , I see the volume indicator change, but no sound.

Any thoughts

 

Check you're fuses. There is an amp fuse in the fuse box. If it is ok i think they put the amp under the dash or in the back of the cab i can't remember off the top of my head.

 

according to the plugs.

And found the problem to be a burnt out circuit board inside the radio.

not sure what blew it , but I'm going to install another fuse inline of a lower amperage than the stock fuse...the stock is 15amp, I'll try 5amp first then move up to 10 if the 5 blows in th enew radio.

The amp is just below the radio and A/C controls under the dash. Kind of a pain to get to.
