I have a 1995 ford f-350 crew cab DRW 7.3 that has the "swing-out recreational mirrors". the other day I cracked the glass on the passengers side mirror. I have looked everywhere for a new mirror head and can't find one. the only place I have found one was on ebay and that was a complete mirror for 65$ plus 25$ for shipping. is there a place that I can get just the head or just the glass. If I could find the glass I have no idea on how to put it in. I have to find a new mirror before the start of camping season. thanks for any help.
My brothers 95 dodge had broken mirror glass but a good housing. He took it to a glass shop that replaced his windshield and gave him a new mirror (just the glass part) for $15 As far as removal and installation, the glass was removed with a flathead screwdriver and by hand with a pair of mechanics gloves on. Then, he used a heavy duty glue that was black and came in a caulk gun tube. I think it was an automotive glue but not sure. Hope this helps.
Are you talking about the west coast mirrors? If so,check out Autozone and O'reillys, they sell just the glass parts of them. Also check parts geek, rock auto, eBay, and for trucks being parted out on Craigslist.

What do you consider the "swing-out recreational mirrors"?
the owners manual says my truck has the swing-out recreational mirrors which is what the red truck in the pic has (pic B). my local junkyard called them the California style mirrors.
ok thanks. I called my local ford dealer and ford still makes the mirror but the dealer doesn't know what they use them for anymore. for a new mirror at my dealer was 202.50 and I couldn't just get the head I would have to get the whole thing.

Ok. I call them gooseneck or tow mirrors but whatever
You can go to ANY glass shop and they can make you a new mirror
OR measure it and go to you local auto parts store. They have a them in stock(or in book) and can get the for you. IIRC it is 7" x 10"

Recreational Swing Out-Low Profile-Goose Neck ~ See TYPE 8 in pic.
Introduced in 1975 F100/350 & Econoline, the mirror head: F2TZ-17723-A (replaced D5TZ-17723-A) is the same R/L, sold by itself, same for all, and (despite the lying dealer) is available from Ford.
These mirrors are very common on Class C motor homes, FoMoCo's are E350 "cut-away's." FoMoCo cuts the cargo body off behind the front seat, motor home manufacturer then installs body.
