My passenger side mirror got cracked by a rock. I have the small mirrors not the telescopes. Does anybody know if I can just replace the glass or am I out a whole mirror assembly?
I had similar mirrors on my old Explorer. Someone hit my mirror hard enough to knock the glass portion out, and it was crushed on the ground.
I called the dealer, and they did not sell the glass piece by itself. I ended up having to buy a whole new mirror. Picked one up from a junk yard for real cheap.
If you have a Pepboys in your area check there. I know they sell just the reflective part of the mirror, but I don't know if they will have one for your application.
In my 99 Ranger I just went to a local glass shop. It took them a few tries but they got one to fit pretty close. If not they have them on evilbay.com all the time for cheep.
I called the dealer and they said the glass can be replaced seperate from the mirror assembly. They wanted $65.89 so I ordered it off fordparts.com for $37.92.
