So I bought a new ficm and put it in, drove the truck to work the next day and everything was kosher. Truck ran like a champ. I fire it up after a 10 hour work day, and on my way home I get an idle that's outta the norm. So I drive her home and scan her and I get the #7 injector code non contributing or whatever. But the bad idle is only intermittent. It will smooth out at some points. I'm gonna check and see if I have a warranty on the injectors, but Idk if it is seriously bad or not. I'm just gettin ticked off, its one thing after another.
What is your fuel pressure running. Number 7 is furthest from the fuel pressure regulator and typically failed 1st is fuel pressure is low. Do you just have a 7 contribution code or do you have a low or high circuit code with it?
I only have p0281 which is the contribution. I think it will clear up i got a little under 1/4 tank, and i just added my cleaner i use every fill up and im hoping it will clear up since its intermittent.
Im not sure of the fuel pressure. I have the blue spring upgrade. I think it was because i was running a bad ficm. And now i have a good one installed. Or it could be bad fuel. IDK I know that there is a snow storm coming and i have to go to dayton on Monday. I just really need the Ford God to clear this sucker up for me.

Yep yep, number 7 is always the first to go when you've got a chronic problem with low fuel pressure.
You've already been advised to install the blue-spring upgrade, and watch your fuel filters like a hawk.
I just want to add this: changing an injector on the 6.0, even on the passenger side, is not as hard as it sounds. I know the feeling of intimidation. Then one day I absolutely had to do it because I needed a truck back in service the following morning... and boom, I did it, and in about 2 hours.
The part that is critically important is the torque on the new injector hold-down bolt. DO NOT use a regular torque wrench to torque it down, as regular torque wrenches are not accurate at the bottom of their torque range. Borrow or buy a low-range torque wrench ("micro torque"). You cannot afford to mess up the torque on that one bolt.
