I know many of you have experience getting parts from these places , the closest one to me is 75 miles away in South Dallas . I know I would have to unbolt everything myself but do they usually offer a service to lift heavy items out of the vehicle and into the back your truck ? I don't mind paying a small fee for something like that as there is no way I could lift an engine of Transmission .
Most I've been to---two in my area close enough to bother with----have gantry cranes easily rolled into place where engines can be lifted out. These same places tend to NOT want you moving a vehicle from what are rather substantial junk yard jack stands designed to give more than adequate room underneath for whatever you'd need. My guess is there's almost 24" of room under them, at least locally.
Once you've got your parts out and to the front counter they'll have a loading area or other equipment to transfer it all into your transportation. Most won't do this for you BUT looking around you'll maybe see a few who haunt those yards and would gladly do something for you for cash money. I've been approached by a few, quite friendly and helpful BTW offering to do what I wanted for fairly cheap. (Probably very good car thieves at night, working after hours legitimately?? )
Of course what I have here in Ohio might vary differently from you in Texas----maybe those in the Texas Chapter of FTE could be more specific?
Being disabled I have limitations on what I can do , I'm not willing to risk falling over dead with a massive heart attack while trying to lift a engine out of a car .
They charge you to go into the yard, they charge you to rent any of the wheelbarrows, carts or lifting gantries they have, and their prices are high unless you catch a pretty good sale.

Too bad you only now think to include this bit of info right? Without good input you can't and shouldn't expect useful replies!!!!!
Give the place a call and tell them what you need. They should be able to give you some prices if you need equipment. I love junkyards. I just went to a u-pull the other day for my Expedition. An intake hose and 2 center caps for $5 .
