E4OD manufacture

Will the plate on rear of trans w/ info tell me what year trans (e4od) was manufactured or year of vehicle it was installed

I don't think so..
On my '97 F350 5.8L E40D it only says...
E40D
GAS ONLY

The trans left the factory with a data tag on the driver's side of the trans towards the rear. There are codes there that tell the model number and the date of manufacture. The model number is specific to a type of vehicle. So yes, that information was on the tag, and no, I don't have the info to decode that tag.
