Ignition Module question

Torque1st said that my ignition module could be bad and I was wondering if the symptoms below point towards the module.

I am having a crazy problem with my truck. After about 15-20 minutes of driving the engine will die when allowed to idle. Then when I try to start it will just crank over, and when I let off the key it will attempt to start. After about 2 minutes of this, then it will start. Sometimes it does it again, sometimes it doesnt. GRRR. I have replaced the fuel filter, & the ignition switch. It was built about 6 months ago. I have tried everything I know to do to fix this problem but still have not yet found a solution. Any Help on this situation will be GREATLY appreciated.

Ignition Module question

I would say the module would be a very good possibility.
They heat up and quit just like you describe......another guess would be the coil or the pickup in the distributor. But I would go with the module first...because it is always good to have a spare one of them in the truck for just such a problem

Ignition Module question

If it's not the module, it will not be money wasted. It's always good to carry a spare with you.

Ignition Module question

A better investment would be a Haynes manual and a multimeter - total ~$30. With them, you can test the module, the coil, the wiring, and almost everything else you may need to in the future.
