Tailgate question
Did Ford make tailgates without the FORD raised letters stamped in it. The reason I ask, is that I may replace my daughters tailgate. 1975 F100 Ranger xlt. Her gate has all the trim pieces. I wonder if under the center trim panel, is the raised FORD or is it flat. I dont want to start taking off trim to find out.

And some tailgates had " MERCURY " on them instead of " F O R D " ...
... those were rare on some Mercury trucks from Canada. A neighbor of ours in the late '70s had one with a topper.
