NV271 Model yr/truck usage

I'm trying to find info on what model yrs and what trucks the NV271 was used by Ford. If anyone knows where that info is hiding I'd appreciate knowing as well. Thanks a bunch.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Apparently it was used from 1999-2010 in F250-F550 trucks. Now. I have no reason to doubt that, but I never did find the info in any "official" Ford publication, but rather some transmission/transfer case repair place hawking their services.

The info is given in the Ford specification documents. You can find those by following the links here:
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...99-2011-a.html

The specs for your 2008 are here:
https://www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas...0-450_08bb.pdf

Page 76 reveals the NV271 was used for MSOS, and NV273 was used for ESOF.

For the range of MY, you would have to look at each MY spec. But after a quick review, Ford is hit/miss about giving the manufacturer and model of the TC, and sometimes only gives features and specifications of the box.
