Hear me out on this before you shoot me down. Okay the way I see it these trucks are at best only 41 years old so there has to be a vast wealth of knowledge out there for these trucks right? Well I say instead of making people search out and hunt their desired info why not just make a super thread on this site about just these trucks so when someone does search it on the web it sends them here. Having more members never hurts and only helps the knowledge spread.
What I'm asking is would the people on this site who own or know Bumpside trucks offer up their knowledge so we can make what I would call a Data Base for this trucks. If we take this serious we can Sticky it.
A "super thread" would likely grow to be unmanageable thus resulting in little to no value because it'll get really long and, as with most, become unusable because most don't know how to do research/search on the internet to find their answer. Instead, they'll post a question for instant gratification.
If there is any value to he had, then each year would have its own registry where owners of the same year can directly ask questions of others owning the same. However, these rigs are so much alike from year to year that it is more efficient to have generational forums like they already exist.
2x Hio. Plus if someone Googles a certain question a lot of times an old thread from here that has the answer desired pops up. Which is exactly how I found it. I googled a few things over a few months and NumberDummy had answered OP's with my answer needed. That's why I joined. To help others out and it would then be on the net so multitudes of people can be helped with the same answer. So you might say Google is already doing what you were thinking of creating.
