replacing Injectors on my truck. I have the passenger side valve cover off with the oil rail removed and new injectors are installed. My engine already has the updated Stand pipe, but the o-rings look flat and worn. can I get new O-rings? or should I just replace the pipe?
Replace the O-rings if you can get them. If not, Ford sells the stand pipes and dummy plugs as a kit. The updated stand pipes have a white nylon washer in addition to the O-ring.
The stand pipes also come with the Ford head gaskets.
Are you replacing all injectors at $220 a piece from AutoNation/Tousely Ford? Since the stand pipe from them is about $41/each why not just replace them too for piece of mind.
No... I replaced #1 injector that was setting codes for a failed coil. I installed new seals and polished the spool valves on the other 3 injectors. as I mentioned before, updated design stand pipe already installed, the O-rings appears to be in usable condition, I will lube them and re-install.
