Please note the down side of running a push e-pump. If for some reason if a manual fuel pump happens to fail, you should check that the diaphragm is not damaged in a way where it is "forcing gas into the crankcase".
You could run the backup E-pump a couple of minutes at say curb-side idling then shut off the motor check and smell the oil for any sign of gas before driving on any farther.
If it's going into the crankcase then you'll need to bypass the manual pump with a foot long extra gas line should do it & maybe a extra fitting & or clamp. This is something you can figure out before hand and having the necessary fittings or hose needed then put in a zip lock bag in glove box or under the seat a long with needed hand tools if you don't keep any tools in your truck.

Ya good thought, might just run another e-pump or do as you said. Always got tools and a few spare parts in the truck.
