Looking for a mechanical fuel pump

What have you guys used for a performance mechanical fuel pump. Looks like the selection is limited.

Brand? Part number??

Tim, I have a new-old stock "Extra Duty" pump, made by a company that starts with E, I think. (sorry senior moment, I knew the name when I started typing!!)
Gee, really helpful huh? Well, anyway. I am converting to fuel injection so I don't need this one. maybe trade for a block off plate
I'll check the box tonight. It was recommended to me when I originally starting toying with the idea of a hop up.

Hey Tim,

I'm running the Holley mechanical pump. It's their chrome one rated at 80gph.

Can't help you with this Tim. I always run an electric on a retrofit. Faster starts, no fuel in the crankcase, and pressure instead of "suction" from the aft mounted fuel tank. I also run a "hot fuel" return to avoid vaporlock.

I am trying to find as many sources for my circle track custromers.

FYI A customer we sold a 351C with 4V head, won his heat & feature friday night. Only Ford out there, but he was out front. I was pretty happy.

I'm running the same one. Here's the part number: 12-854.

As far as output goes, only the Holley and the Mr. Gasket PN: 7707 put out 80 GPH. However, the Mr. Gasket puts out 8 psi and the Holley is 7.5 psi.

WOW, I'm amazed the locals allowed a Cleveland! I know several dirt tracks back in Louisiana would not allow any Cleveland heads on any Ford motor. They didn't allow Boss 302 anything and they limited the total engine size to 355ci....a .030 over 350 GM size. The MOPAR guys had to find a 340 if they wanted to run so you never saw a MOPAR and most Fords were 351Ws that just could not breathe.

I'm just running a stock pump on my build, its a Carter pump, and it has 8 psi all the way to 6000 Rpm, as tight as I am willing to spin it (only once )

We can use the cleveland heads here, but they have to have stock rockers... the chevys can use full rollers and they let the dodge guys run the 360.... we still hold our own. In the modified class we can run pretty much anything, but we are limited to 650 horses. I do pretty good with a 393 Windsor and AFR 220s on Methanol.
