I need some help, I'm looking at an excursion today with the TS chip with Wildman tunes.

The truck started and then died. Now every time I stick the key in the PATS system flashes very quickly. I've used the superchips PATS reset procedure, and nothing seems to work. I pulled code from AE, everything looks like it's low battery voltage. I'm charging the battery now. I would like to get this truck started but I don't know what else I can try to ensure the Pats is not the problem.

The owner says it always flashes and then starts, but drives off fine.

Are there any options?

 

Does he have another key to it to try?

 

I can ask if he has another key.

When I pulled codes through AE KAM error and low voltage issues.

It passed a buzz test with good injectors and no codes in IDM.

Now I just need to get it started.

 

AE won't connect now. Any tips?

The TS chip with Wildman tunes were the problem. I pulled the chip and the truck fired up and PATS played nicely.

Took it out for a friend and pulled all the AE data. Has some soft codes but they appeared to be very old.

Gotta love AE!

 

The PATS no start happens once in a while on Excursions - possibly the low voltage was part in triggering it....

The KAM error is normal after installing a chip......

You can also use AE to program the key if you need to reprogram the old one.

Buying another Excursion or just looking one over?

 

I'm helping a friend buy an excursion. 02 with 150k miles, V/B swap, 6637, good motor. Asking 18900, with AE and finding the small issues, he bought it for 16,500.
