I need some help on the new 6.7 F-250 and 350. Iam looking at getting a new F-250 or 350. But not sure what kinda MPG these trucks get with 373 or 355 gears in the rearend.. I have now a 2008 F-350 dually crew cab 4x4 and get around 11.2 MPG with 411 gears in it. Can some of yall give me some info that have the new 6.7. Thanks....
alots gonna depend where you live flat or hill . you may see 20 mpg on flat , a little hilly you will be lucky at 16mpg. around town will be worse of course.
I'm happy with it so far, but I'm still getting experience with it so I don't know how mpg will play out long term. However, that is similar to what a friend of mine was getting in his 2011. Mine is a 2014 4X4 crew cab short bed with 3.55 rear end. I love the truck, rides and drives great, tons of power!
I live in a foothills type area, so some hills. I have not had much start and stop driving in the truck yet, but I can only imagine that will kill the mileage!
The 2014 350 I was looking at had 3.73 gears in it. So in other words I need to find a 250 or 350 with a 3.55 rear end to get the best MPG? I will be driving more with the new truck rather than my 08 350. I did not know that they made a 3.31 gear in the new trucks. Just wanted to make sure i get the right gear for my driving.
Yes it was a dually with the 3.73 gears. Thank y'all for the great info. I will go with a 3.55 or 3.31. Again thanks for the fast response. If I run into any other issues I will ask again for some info. Thanks...
