If it's going to be flat I'm partial to white. Think someone on here has one, maybe he'll post a photo for you.

I sense that flat paint jobs are a fad that will pass. Might "date" your truck to go that way. Shiny is forever.

Adding talc to a color flattens it. Adding rustoleum flat black or flat white to create a color flattens it. The fad part is to me, flat black, red wheels, etc. The only way to do flat paint correctly imho is to polish it out shiny in the wear areas and leave the flat part on the hood and roof and vertical surface of the doors. I have never done a complete patina job for fake, but I have painted a bed or other large area to blend with the original paint on what you're keeping. Flat is cool, but no truck ever had the same amount of sheen on the fender crowns as it did on the roof and top of hood. End of rant.

Flat red or blue body. Flat black fenders. Or even a semi-gloss for it all, than like Gary
does try and age it.

I'm doing our truck shiny, but it looked kinda cool in a flattish dark blue before the clear coat and buffing. Here's a pic, FWIW. Best, T

P.S. That's not me in the photo. I was behind the camera
