Hey guys my truck as most of you know is oxford white. as you can tell from my signature. However I hate white and its getting time to address the paint on my truck. I have decided to have it painted and wanted to know what you guys think of the color.
this is my truck now
This is the color i want to paint it.
From what i know its a 97 Ford Color. Clear Teal metallic. So what are yalls opinons of the color. the paint thats on it now is hiding alot of sins and doesnt look near as good upfront. i posted it over in the paint and body work forum.

A friend has this color and from what I can tell it has faded pretty bad. It just reminds me of an Exploder, not so much a pickup.
Your truck though bro! Don't be afraid of a new color, it's going to be the same price as a stock Ford color.
thats what i was more or less wondering. I just didnt word it right. I was trying to figure out if it was best to stick with a ford color or go with a custom mix color. thanks
There is a teal color Ford used on 90s fox Mustangs that might be better. (A tad darker, maybe?) My wife had a 95 Cutlass Supreme in a teal shade that always impressed me, & I don't care generally for GM stuff. Which brings up the point that some consider teal a "girly" color, but what the heck, it don't insult my manhood...
I do hope you change that grill color if you paint it...
lol Well i guess i could paint it lime green and black.... which is one of my favorite color combinations. yes the grill is getting changed i have a new one to replace this one. as far as the girly goes i had a 2005 Mazda tribute that was dark teal metalliac and i never once felt girly. I want something different rather than a black or red or a silver. Thought about painting it the 77 F250 blue and white color that my old truck used to be but then again there is already a blue and white extended cab F150 4x4 running around here.
There were 4 different colors the wife and i liked. we decided to go against the limegreen and black also against the blue and white. our two options we have come down to are the Teal or The Grabber blue mustang color. we seen a older ford truck painted this color and we thought it looked tough
after i posted this i found the truck we had seen a picture of.
I like the teal color. If thats the color you like go for it.
That 77 is cool.
Personally, I like the more subtle or classic colors. I'm not big on the bold colors. That teal is pretty nice.
Right now i am gathering some parts up. the right fender has got several dents in it and the left fender looks like it got beat with a sackful of nickels. Come spring time or early summer i am hoping to get it painted after i get all the parts together.
My all time favorite color was the one on my 2000 F-150. It was called "Island Blue", and it was a dark teal. I believe Ford made it available on the F-150's and Superduty's for 2000 and 2001 only. If you can find a picture of one in this color, check it out.
