A while ago I read someone had an issue and was looking to just replace the shaft. In redoing my interior I realized I had the same problem. I still had some of the notches left. Fill the back side of the crank with JB weld and put it on! This may not work for any 'pinky-outers' or those who like to take the crank off and put it back on for fun. But it works GREAT for me. Have a nice day everyone.
I've had to drill into the stripped crank shaft' and grind the head slightly to allow the insert screw; to screw into the drilled hole too hold the handle in place; until I came across another regulator.

Yep, not a bad idea to use a few pieces of mechanics wire to tighten up the fit as well.
LOL. Websters defines a pinky-outer: as someone who drinks their beverage with their pinky out, generally looks down their nose at people, and when laughing, tilts their head back to the side and moves their shoulders up and down.
