OK so been dealing with this a while.... truck sets a week or 2 and dead...battery are brand new motor craft and nd test good...alt is good....found out I have a 1.30 volt drain.... pulled fuses #8 it Gose to. 44 ma.... pull # 16 it gos to .71 ma....pull both and it's .03......With this said my keyless entry box makes all kinds a noise when doing this....is the keyless entry box known to short out and cause a drain? It still works also....thanks guys
Fuse 8 - This fuses lots of things including courtesy lamps and key-less entry. Also check that little pesky glove compartment lamp, gotta sneak up on it though.
Fuse 16 - Cigarette lighter and OBDII fuse, should be no current draw unless lighter is bad or someone tied into that circuit.

Yeah I don't see where fuse 16 has been tied in to and cigarette lighter still works......did how ever notice ash tray light had been pulled.....glove box light is out....When box is shut....my key less entry gos crazy nuts tho.....so going to Un plug it and see what happens.....If it's that I'll have to do with out keyless for a while seen a box on ebay for Like 60 bucks
OK got an update so went to take the keyless box out to see what it does to my draw....and found a little flat box on top of it (ste-2 s/n) had a wire going to steering collom and 2 off up in the dash.....With the keyless box out I still had a .36 draw so took what I later found out was a low jack transmit box out and I was at a .03.... so put my keyless box back in and had a.74 I waited and checked it after like 15 min still a .74......Ford told me to wait like an hour and a half and check it and it should drop down to like a .05 or .07.....If it don't the keyless box is out...witch such a cause no dome lights or locks with it out.....so hope I have more to add in a few hours
After a week of letting truck set...went to start it to day and was better but still acted and little week....my question is when I was checking my drain I had one battery with the positive cable hooked up and ground off.....The other battery wasn't hooked up at all.....I checked my drain on the positive to the unhooked ground....is this the right way or do I need to have the other battery hooked up ? Thanks guys
