I was reading in another site that the use of head studs necessitates shorter push rods to reduce stress on the lifters. The poster said they are 50/1000 too long, and that Ford even has a bulletin out on it. This doesn't make sense to me.
Is this true, or is it possible the heads were milled?
I have a spare motor I am about to start modding to swap out with the one in my truck, and want to make sure I do everything right.
Any thoughts on what all I should modify will be appreciated.

LMAO--that's a bunch of crap and has nothing to do with studs. The shorter pushrods are to reduce stress on the lifters though. How about a link to the website??
That's a WAY old thread with bad information. Go to the 6.0 performance section and read the post from gearhead2012 about head machining in the sticky section. Lots has changed in 2 years.
Went with shorter on my rebuild last month. Also took into account we shaved .005 of the heads. I'd like to think my new Ford cam is not going to destroy all the work I just did.
