Can you guys tell me what the small box with the 3-prong plug is that is inline with the solenoid but nearer to the firewall on the passenger fender? My horn was blowing slightly when I turn the wheel left and when I unplugged the horn to stop it until I could tear it apart this box still made a popping sound. Just not sure what I'm dealing with, any help is greatly appreciated.
Like 73f-100 said, that's the horn relay.
More than likely you have a short in the steering column. The horn works by grounding the relay when you press the horn bar. If there is a bare spot or a pinched wire in the column it could ground the circuit and cause the horn to blow. You want to check the blue wire with a yellow tracer.
