So by the sounds of it, all Aussie F trucks are using an old Ford genuine aftermarket system. Ford must of had some old gear lying around and decided to put them in our vehicles.
Your programming procedure is the same one that I used on my vehicle. So everything is now making sense.
I will start hunting for some replacement early 90's key fobs for my aussie 2004 model.
I have checked through my Ford Owner's Guide and there is no mention of any FCC ID code at all. Maybe I was expecting a miracle.
Our good friends at Ford Australia quoted approx $630 for a replacement remote. They must still have some lying around. At that price, they will have them forever.
