Got all gauges for $20. Tested and they all work. (these are @ $230 each)
Any recommendations for re-painting the orange needles? Special paint?
will the "weight" of the paint effect needle movement?
Nice score! Some people use fluorescent orange paint pens. Or you could use spray paint(lightly). Or maybe model paint. I would believe the weight would be negligible. After all, they are painted from the factory.
Was gonna say, "what happened to the Tach"
Ordered the orange yesterday.
I found another Dash cluster from a 82 Bronco, just showed up at a local Boneyard.
Wondering if I should get those gauges too....Just cause.
Reason I had to stop and see it is I am on the hunt for a complete tan interior, Mine is red and every truck I've called on in the area has been Red too! The Bronco broke the roll here, its Blue. Want Tan or Grey. Just have doubts of painting red plastic panels Tan....an seeing what they look like in a year.....
I talked to the PPG Auto paint people here, They will not (can not?) custom mix interior paint, so SEM spray bomb is "close" to original Ford "tan?"
KsCop just had this discussion Re: his new black dashboard.
IIRC he said it was not a good match for saddle tan. (at least not his other parts that had faded)
