I have a '13 F350 CC 4x4 purchased back in September 2013, and I have a question about the heating system.
When I remote start the truck, there are no issues with the heating/cooling system coming on, and the fan is blowing and seats are heating/cooling. The issue comes when I put the key in, and the entire climate system shuts off. I then need to turn it on and set it back to the last settings I had it on from the day before.
Should this be happening? It's quite annoying to have to remember to look down at the heat to see if it's on every time I get in the truck.
Anyone know if there is a software update for this issue?
Is your system set to auto, mine is and heat/cool settings are returned to what I had last time I shut down except seat heat/cool. My understanding is that with remote start HVAC is defaulted to 72 degrees and seats are heated or cooled based on outside temperature.
The issue is, no matter what I leave the console on, when I remote start the truck, then put the key in, the temperature control gets shut off. I then need to turn it back on.
If I start the car with the key, then whatever I left it on comes back on...if I remote start, it doesn't...
