Well im going to do it. Im gonna do an e fuel conversion on my truck. Gonna use the a Super duty pump, donaldson or wix bases, Cat Filters and all Earls or XRP -6 AN fittings with braided stainless line. And an Aeromotive regulator. I have a buddy thag is gonna let me mock it up on his engine which is on a stand, should make it easier. I do however have a few questions.
Does anyone know of a good cheap source for Fittings? I found a site called ANplumbing.com, but im still looking at roughly $250 for the fittings alone. This isnt a huge a problem but does anyone have any other sources?
I went with steel push loc parker brand fittings and hose.1/4 the price. i added it up like you and just could not do that.
check ebay for a gsl392 pump iirc. rob posted a link and i went that route for half the price for a BIG pump!
Real world gains are as follows, imo:
1. Little quicker acceleration
2. No more overstiffed valley with leaks
3. Much better foundation for future preformance upgrades
You won't notice much difference but you will be glad you did it. Just finished mine 10 days ago, fyi
Where is a good place to get JIC fittings? The main reason i want the braided steel lines is just to my it look nice. I know it isnt neccessary at all
My mileage went down because I can't keep my foot out of it.
https://www.discounthydraulichose.com has seriously cheap parts and any fitting you could ever think of. Need a minimum $20 base order. Hoseandfittings.com is also pretty good. Summit and jegs both have tons of AN fittings and hose. The AN stuff just doesn't agree w my wallet though.
Edit: www.sweetperformance.com also has lots of good stuff
my experience is slightly better starts, and when I punch it to make a yellow, it actually accelerates. I'm assuming the old failing pump was to weak for full throttle. Stock injectors.
a pipe repair clamp works well for mounting the pump.
