In other words:
'95 is the same as 1995 (at least for a few more decades)
95' means 95 FEET. Your trucks are not that long.
This concludes this PSA. (Sorry, it's been grating my eyes for a while...)

Of coarse I never make airs like that

Really though, let's just be thankful that most of us on here at least try to use punctuation in order to make our posts easily understood. I mean... ever see somebody that posts something like:

As for whether or not there is a dash between the E or F and the number, check the badges on your vehicles. Mine doesn't have a dash on the E250 badge.

I was pretty leery of the 4.2L V6 before I bought this van in May, 2011. I had driven a friend's '98 E150 with that engine, and it was a total dog. I thought I was going to die trying to get on the interstate with it because it had no stones. Clearly Ford upgraded the engine, and with 200 or so HP now, it's really not too bad. What really surprised me is that its computer doesn't downshift the tranny at the slightest throttle input, as I would have expected when you have a small engine in a large vehicle that needs to see some RPMs to make power. Instead, it will lumber through a light or medium acceleration because it seems to have a decent torque curve through the lower RPM ranges. And this is in a van that has almost 160k miles on the clock. Don't expect great mileage, though--it still takes a certain amount of energy to move these big ol' bricks down the road. I get 11-14 MPG in mostly city driving. (I get 11 MPG in the winter driving pretty much only in the city. If I have a summer job that's a little ways out of town, I will see 14 MPG.)

P.S. I wasn't singling out any one person's errors--it was just a general trend I had noticed getting worse over the last few years.
If you look again, there are two vehicles listed. The dash in front of the year of each is like a bullet point to separate items in a list. Pretty standard in things like corporate Power Point presentations.

Also, sorry about all the flack you're getting for this post. I personally appreciate the effort to keep people informed. People who don't know any better keep seeing it done incorrectly and end up adopting the wrong method.
Sure we all make errors, but the big divide comes between those who are willing to improve and those who choose to keep making the same mistakes rather than admit they made them in the first place.

Its called the smart phone..... that is causing people to become dumber.
What gets me is "texting".
Back in the 80's and early 90's when digital pagers came out, we were stuck with only numbers and made messages with them. When cell phones replaced pagers, that made "texting" in one way obsolete as you can talk to a person. Now we regressed back to the archaic "texting" and even with letters and numbers, people still make cryptic messages.
I can call up someone and tell them something in 30 seconds or less, but takes me over 2 to 3 minutes to text it in!
By the way, I have now seen it today!! Some guy was texting while driving his motorcycle, no hands at all on the ape hangers.... wished I had a smart phone to video that!
