That looks normal to me, its from the CCV as stated.
I know the benefits of re-routing the CCV i.e.. ....oilly boots and intake. But, are there any known advantages to leaving it hooked up as the factory designed it? Does it provide any kind of cooling the intake charge (for example) or other benefit? Or, was it just a emissions deal for cleaner air? Thx.
Its an emission deal. But it gums the turbo and intake. Leaves oil in your cac tubes and air charge cooler. Reroute it and it fixes it. To the op the oil looks normal. I would clean it up and clean all your boots up. I have used hairspray to help keep the boots on.

Mostly an emissions thing....the combustion gases end up in the crankcase, and have to exit somewhere to prevent pressure build up on seals, etc. The factory routes it to the intake to be "recycled" basically. The result is higher intake temps, oil on all intake pipes/boots, inside intercooler, the intake itself, bla, bla, bla.
The ball bearing turbos will eliminate the "turbo fart" when the throttle is let off suddenly FYI. I really think if the wallet allows it,, ball bearing is the way to go. But the ones I've had my hands on are non vgt,, so a custom tune will be needed also. Most turbo replacements go back with the journal bearings. Just some info. Oh,, I've got a journal bearing powermax on mine,, ball bearing turbos are about 3x the price.

This is true...
My buddy had his powermax fail and he wanted to go with a Ball-bearing turbo. I explained what all is necessary and needless to say he let me rebuild his turbo.
It wil only cost $160 plus shipping to rebuild your stock turbo:

Question though
I see the up grade is a 360 bearing plate , which we ordered , but not a ball bearing for the shaft?
Just want to make sure we got b/b if that was a option
After all if your going to do,it do right
Thx
The ball bearing cannot be achieved with our turbos. The only option to get b/b involves chunking our turbo and buying the whole b/b turbo assembly. Last one I had was a turbonetics,, and the turbo alone was $3k,, Before tuning, and any labor. It was a pricey mod.
