7.3L engine mounts?

Ok i have tried the search function and several Google searches , it seems to be page after page of use a cummins ? I may have a complete donor truck 1993 F450 with a rebuilt 7.3L idi tons of new parts and I really want to do the swap, but after a few hours of reading seems to be more bashing of the 6.9 or 7.3L then any actual threads or success stories utilizing the 77 truck and not doing a body swap. I guess what I am looking for are there any threads with somebody doing a 7.3 swap into a highboy? What engine mounts where used custom made or bought what trans, clearance issues etc Any help will be greatly appreciated just trying to get everything in order before diving into this swap, I love my 77 highboy but the fuel mileage is killing me with the 351m and i want to use the truck for towing my demo cars this summer, so a little more torque would be great when hauling those heavy *** 70's mopars to the track

Well, not a highboy, but yours shouldn't be too far off from mine. Here's my thread. Feel free to ask any additional questions. Towers and mounts are just stock 6.9/7.3 mounts/towers though. Transmission: depends. Not much highway? C6 or t19. Highway? E4od or zf5. I run mine with a t19 down the highway and it's alright, I can squeak 20 mpg out of it going about 55 or 60. If I had od I could get more though.

If you're gonna stick with the highboy divorced transfer case, you might need to make a shorter intermediate shaft. From what I remember from my 87 6.9/ZF5, the transmission is longer than a t18 or np435. It may be about the same length as a C6, but I'm not totally sure.

If it's got an E4OD, you will definitely need to make a shorter intermediate shaft. Those transmissions are huge. It won't clear the firewall/transmission tunnel without trimming.

Other than that, you might consider adding a leaf to the front because of the weight (right around 1100 fully dressed, IIRC), and you'll want power steering. If you've got manual now, the easiest to swap to is probably the hydro ram assist that came on the highboys. Also, if your budget allows, I'd switch to hydroboost brakes. There's nothing wrong with the vacuum assist brakes, but hydroboost is a big improvement over vac assist.

Or, you could go no power brakes and just get a really muscular right leg

But if you're gonna be towing "heavy mopars" I'd go with hydroboost.
