I am puting my 72 f250 crew cab body on a 97 dodge 2500 4x4 diesel chassis but I'm still in the early stages of fitting the body. I haven't figured out how to ad pics yet to my comments.
I'm interested in seeing how you get it to bolt up to the dodge frame. Is it a extended cab long bed chassis your using? I wanna know where all these crew cabs are coming from and cummins swaps all the sudden.
Well actually I've had both trucks for over 5 years with this in mind but only got around to starting Aug 2013. Yes it was an extended cab long box and so far I have shortened wheelbase approx 5 in and have mounted the box but I'm still fitting the cab. And as to where I found this crew cab I got it out of a towing impound yard where it had been sitting unnoticed for 12 years. I picked it up for $200 and actually drove it on a trailer, it wasn't very happy about it but it did drive under its own power.
Kind of a cool background on where you picked up the crew. I believe that's the cheapest crew ive seen someone on here get yet. How is the body on the crew any rust anywhere? Did you go with a full size short bed? So the extended cab long bed frame is actually longer then what you need it to be. Did you move the rear axle forward more? Create a photobucket account and copy and paste the image URL into your post so we can see pics. Saying the word crew around here without pics is a sin hahaha

WOW, that's a great find. One of the rear doors is worth that much. Post up the pics as soon as you get a chance. I was looking for a 72 when I found my 69. I'm going cummins 4x4 as well, but I'm mounting to an f350 CC SD FX4 frame from an 04 roll over.

Yes it has some rust the cab corners need replaced front clip was really rough so I didn't even keep it and it needs a new tail gate other than small spots here and there it's not too bad considering it was a welders truck. The box floor needs some tlc as well but what can you expect from a truck that's over 40 years old. I'm just happy to have one that's reasonably intact and straight.
