I have an early 1997 F-250 Super Cab 4x4 PSD. I personally think thats the best looking truck Ford or anyone else has ever made, but that's just my opinion and why I bought a '97.

If that is the case, why didn't you vote in the poll?

I voted 97, Just cause i got one... but to be honest as long as it's a for it's a ford and a diesel it's ok with me!! A guy down the street has an old maby 89 ford w/ 5 speed and diesel ( IDI??) thing is all beat up, painted in grey primer, but he still loves it and i teel him how cool it is every time i see it!! still rips stumps out of the ground and knarls at any chevy or dodge that gets in it's way!!!

In that case, I guess you are forgiven. Just don't let it happen again.

IMO, a real truck is square. Don't get me wrong, the Super Duty series are nice. But they are too modern for me. At 26, should I be saying anything like that? I plan on replacing my current '95 F-250 HD with a "new" truck soon. Either a '96-'97 F-350 Crew Cab Powerstroke 4x4 with a Centaurian dually conversion. I plan on keeping that one till it's at least an antique.

My vote is cast for anything from Ford. I have a 2000 PSD and love it, but Quadzilla has an earlier body style truck that is just awesome. Take a look at his gallery.

In my opinion, most heavily modded rigs beat most stock rigs, regardless of body style...

I like all the styles. I wouldnt be able to choose one over another, they are all so sweet. I have a question, Why is there no '98 model? Ive always been wondering that. Ive never seen a 1998.

I've heard 2 stories. One story says that Ford was on strike in '98 and even though they did continue to make vehicles, their output was much less and they just continued to make the '97's with no updates. The other story says that Ford was not ready to introduce a "all new" model and continued to sell the'97's until '99, when the Super Duty was unveiled. Maybe the truth lies somewhere between the two? Anybody know for sure? At any rate, it would seem there should be a whole lot of '97's out there to choose from!

I voted for the OBS, original body style, because I wanted full size rear doors on my crewcab, and wing windows. If something ever happens that makes me find another truck, it'll be another OBS.
