Motorcraft Carburetor

I was needing some help identifying this carburetor. On the tag it has E3TE-BRA
A2 1 3
Casting 7595s

The carburetor was listed for sale $40 on craigslist and it had everything attached to it that I wanted off of it and more.

I cant find a picture or post a picture but I can list what it has on.

1. Feedback Solenoid
2. Bowl lever and flange with WOT dump valve
3. Choke pulloff
4. Electric choke
5. Anti dieseling solenoid
6. AC kicker
7. Hot air inlet is on passenger side
8. Dashpot for deceleration i think attached to anti diesel solenoid

The guy I bought it from said it was for a 83 F150. Thats all I can say. I went ahead and bought it before I received my parts catalog because the condition of the carb was really good and everything works except the choke. So after taking the carb home and looking it over, i headed into the parts catalog to verify what this carb belongs to.

Well after couple hours of searching, i came up with, the carb being for a 83 E-F series 4.9 under the Calibration code 320. Now I may have looked it up wrong, but it has been noted on this forum that the parts catalog CD version is a little hard to navigate and takes so time to learning it.

It basically looks like a feedback carb minus TPS and Idle motor with the 4 wires including the ITS being internal.

So any help is appreciated.

Is this what you found? See the 5th line. That's the only hit in the Text section for "E3TE-BRA".

I didn't find that however I did find all the illustrations it referenced and the parts list 1AU.

The illustration shows at the bottom 80-86 E-F100/350 and below that it shows 83-87 ranger 2.0 and 2.3.

What I found was under calibration code 320, and there it showed the carb assembly tag number E3TE-BRA. Im just trying to verify what this carb is for because the emission catalog says the feedback valve 4.9 and 2.3 I think is not interchangeable and if used in in place of 4.9 feedback solenoid, ECM failure can occur.

I want to use this feedback solenoid if it is the same as my 84 f250 4.9 Carter YFA.
According to the parts list my 84 YFA is-AT while the one being discussed is AU. So if I looked correctly they share the same part number but the rangers part numbers end with a different character like B or C.

I see that in the Calibration Code 320, and don't know why I didn't find it. Anyway, I see "(Calibration No. 3-52Y-R0)-6 Cyl. 300 C.I.D. (4.9L) 1983 E100/250- - C6 W/Hi-altitude carb.)"

So that is verification that this Carburetor belongs to a 1983 E100/250 with 4.9?

And all I have to do is cross reference the parts list 95 1AU for this Carb E3TE-BRA with my 84 Carter YFA E4TE-HA parts list 95 1AT and it shows the same part number for the feedback solenoid.

That's what it shows at the top of my page for Calibration Code 320. Doesn't yours?

By the way, PM me about some tricks to using the catalog if you are interested.
