Intercooler piping

Well guys after searching the internet and living on craigslist the past 5 months i finally found the intake spyder. I had a 6.0 cooler for about 2 years now and just finally got ahold of a spyder. Now im gonna work on getting the piping together.

Ive looked through different threads on here and some guys use the stock newer 7.3 or even 6.0 pipes and add exhaust piping to get them to fit.

My question is what would be the easiest ? I have a buddy who can weld. So i was thinking of just buying a bunch of exhaust piping. What do you guys think would work best ? or easiest to install/fabricate?

the guys i got the spyder from only works on powerstrokes so i could prolly call him and see if he has pipes.

Used 7.3 pipes work the easiest. They make aluminum and steel, so make sure what you get if you go that way. If you start from scratch, I'd get a couple 3 inch "J" bend pipes and cut up to use.

I have about 0 fabrication experience. So with buying the j bend piping could I just cut to fit then put boots to clamp it all together?

No, there would be cutting, fitting, and welding involved. I've actually got a set I'd get rid of if you are looking, since I've upgraded turbos. The thing is, I didn't check to see if I was getting aluminum or steel when I got mine. So, I ended up with one aluminum pipe, and 2 steel ones (bought 3 used ones from a guy off SD trucks to make into 2). The passengers side pipe I had to use a boot, as half of it is aluminum, half is steel. They worked good though. If you are interested, pm me. I can get them out and take a picture of them this weekend if you want.

Darin, I would be interested in seeing pictures of what you have there since that's what I have as well (aluminum pipes). I have access to aluminum welding equipment now though so I may just mock them up and weld them together once I see what I need. If you could shoot some pictures of what the pipes look like together, it would sure help me get started.
