O3 vs 05 excursion

IF the gas models have the 5r110 transmissions I would take the 05. I know on the diesel 03's they had some tranny problems. The 05's did not.

No, gas engine Excursions only had 4 speed autos (V10 has 4R100, not sure about 5.4L). Diesel got the 5R in 03 with the new 6.0L engine.

both 5.4 and 6.8 use the 4R100, the gas Ex's never got the 5 speed.

I dont think there is a lot of differnce to maybe no difference in drivetrain so it would depend on care and which one I liked better.
