O3 vs 05 excursion

Well I've narrowed my search down to a 03 Excursion
limited V10-4x4 and a 05'XLT V10-4x4

The Limited at about 100,000 the xlt 95,000.

Both within $1,200 of each other. Which would you choose ?

Depends on the options that the XLT has but I would probably go for the 05. $1200 for 2 years difference is a bargain in my eyes. That breaks down to $600 a year.

Roughly the same price, so it depends on options, colors, repair history, towing history and type of owner.

like the other guys said. mechanical condition first, if all that is equal, i would rather have the limited trim package in the 03

I thought the 04&05 got upgrades. 3v engine. More threads in the heads.

Excursion never had a 3V, anything from 03-up has double the spark plug threads.

I like the front bumper and wheel choices on the 05, so I would probably pick that one unless the options were a lot better on the 03.

I like the rear window opening on limited compared to fixed on the xlt. I like the front end better on the 05. But it would all depend on condition and care.

Agree with the others, but the xlt (i think) won't have adjustable pedals or memory seats.

Not used daily, or even monthly, but nice to be able to adjust where the pedals are to suit YOU, then save the spot in case your spouse or somebody else moves the seat.

I like the 05 also. The front clip makes it standout more to me. Also different interior colors.....darker shades I believe.

What am I reading here...

My XLT has adjustable pedals, dvd, leather, vented rear windows, etc.

If the '05 XLT is loaded I 'd take that over the '03 in a heartbeat.

I would go for the 05, but that's just because the $1200 can be made up in other ways except that
