Are you stuffing new gears back in and moving on or did you replace the front engine cover each time? Fluid damper by any chance? Just throwing that out there.

The inner gear breaks in 4 pieces and is wedged into the outer gear. Changed the first one at 30k. Can't imagine whats going on otherwise. Good oil, good pressure only happens on a hard 2nd/3rd shift.... ive got pics but not sure how to post em. And yes I have changed the front cover before. Last couple times just tossed gears in it.

Perhaps I should invest in a torsional dampner?

Normally, they do not just up and break. You said you turn the crap out of it... what RPM's are you running?

Just curious - do you ever use aftermarket oil filters?

Reason I am asking is I wonder if you can somewhat "starve" the HPOP for oil by allowing some of the oil flow to drain back to the crankcase. Just trying to think out-loud what might put extra stress on the pump.

Today was about 4100 when it broke, I was loaded with s 10000 lb tractor and schooling a dmax.... of course my celebration was short lived. There are times she gets some "hot suppers" though haha

Got a few things, you are consistent, so without much explanation. Trash will break the gear, crank movement, operator error. Pick one. Hate to be blunt but...
