seeking part # D4AB-14A459-FB wiring lead
hey guys! I'm trying to track down a wiring lead for the frame mounted fuel tank switch solenoid. the solenoid is mounted right in front of the rear tank. its a single wire and is brown/white. The lead is about 12" long. It plugs into main frame harness at which point is also brown/white all the way up to the rectangular 7 pin green plug at firewall.
The # D4AB-14A459-FB is stamped ON the connector of the forward end of the lead!
mike or numberdummy if you could check Dealers for this and possibly the harness it plugs into I'd very much appreciate it
No rush
this is on a 78-79 f-150 4wd reg cab dual tanks.
thanks!

I've been trying to locate the wire you asked about but am having no luck.
When it comes to wiring, the catalog can be a bit sketchy. I can't find the wire listed as a separate part. The way it's illustrated in the parts catalog, it looks like it's part of the wiring harness and I don't think that's correct.
I'll keep looking and if I find anything, I'll let you know.
Mike
PS: Tried to PM you but your PM box is full and can't accept anymore PM's.

There was a thread a few weeks ago on the brown/white wire! My frame harness has 2 green plugs at firewall....then heads down the frame with a lead to the prop valve light....continues aways with another lead for the front tank tgen another for the rear tank...near the rear tank lead the brown/white wire breaks off.....Both tank leads have a pin style plug so the actual last foot or so are actually separate parts. ...The brown/white is similar in that the lead breaks out of the main harness and has a connector.......The last foot long chunk is the part that has that # on it.
I'm trying to recall.....The original truck was a 78 f150 2wd dual tank non ac truck....i put the body on a 78 OR 79 4wd frame? I can't be certain whether the frame harness Is from the original 78 2wd or if it's factory to the 4wd frame either way, the harness has TWO rectangular green plus at firwall. In contrast I have an nos frame harness for dual tanks with a # of d7tb14405 it has break out leads for duL tanks but not the brown/white wire for selector valve. It also has 3 plugs at firmware and they are round/oval...... If I haven't confused you lol....hope that helps

Nope. Today I finally had a little bit of free time, I went through the text section of the Ford master parts catalog line by line from the beginning of section 130 to the end of section 150, this pretty much covers everything wiring related and can't even find a reference to the wire.
