wiring harness question
On my 79 150 wirining harness, going abour halfway back the frame rail there is a single wire that comes out of the harness with a round black rubber cup looking thing, about 1" in diameter and what looks like a single push on spike in the middle of it. I don't believe it's ever been used in my truck, but what is it for?

I have the same thing on my 76 with 78 harness. I'm willing to bet it is for the extra fuel tank that sits inside the frame under the cab/drivers side. In fact i'm sure that is what its for as the 78 doner truck had the extra tank. On my 76 I'm useing only the rear tank due to duel exhaust.
