I tried to order one from the Ford Dealer in Charlotte, NC and they told me not to put anything in that hole.It was left there for a reason and if the engineers thought it needed any protection, they would have put a grill there. Don't shoot the messenger, thats just what i was told.

Ford made it, it's staying in that hole!!
When I ordered mine the parts guy was clueless as to what it was. I walked him out the 2014s he had on the lot and I pointed. He agreed that it looked better and would gladly have it installed.

They look outstanding, but over one Ben Frank is just outrageous. I love the look of the one made to match the Platinum grille, but I cannot justify the cost especially since they aren't hard mounted...they just snap in place. No screws, no christmas tree plugs.
