was looking at grills on the internet.. autopartsway.ca to be exact. looking at a trenz grill part #2286F if that means anything to anyone... billet grill with the ford logo. but says that it used the stock ford logo. does that mean that it fits over the honeycomb i have now? won't u see the honeycomb through it? at $82 with free shipping it almost sounds too good to be true.... any insight would be appreciated. i just don't want to order it and get stuck with a cheap piece of crap
Last month I installed a Billet Grille by Carriage Works. I got it from Moss Moters (FTE sponsor) you will find the site to the left of this collum. If you are not mechanicly inclined don't get one. If you are its a really good looking and strong unit. Stronger and much stiffer than OEM plastic honeycomb. A bit of trouble to install, drill some holes, install a bunch of brackets, etc. Took me about 1 1/2 hrs. and Ive been doing mechanic and Tech work forever. And yes the grilles that just cover, the honeycomb can still be seen and look cheesey at best. Aloha to all, Renzo in Hawaii 04 lariat 4X4 SCAB
