I saw this comic in our local paper last week and thought it applies to us 48-56 Ford Truck lovers that live in the colder parts of the US. The picture shows a 51-52 Ford Truck covered in snow but it could be any of us!
That's the truth, my '49 F-2's 226 won't start if the temps drop below 45°. I have to jump start it with 12 volts and then it'll start all day. When my dad had the truck it had a different 226 and he said he had to do the same thing.
I found the Pluggers web site, there's a nice color version of this comic panel:
Nice, Bob. That has much better clarity. I will have to check out the website.
Years ago they had another comic that I clipped out and will try to post when I have time. It is a Shoe comic strip. The caption for frame 1 says, "A real truck is a vehicle you can clean with a hose...." The 2nd frame says, "...inside." And it shoe a guy squirting water inside the cab. The truck is shown from the rear and it looks like a 48-52 Ford. The tailgate has 3 boxes embossed on it like the Ford Script tailgates.
