anything special I need to do with this oil change? warm it up drain it from the bottom. 1 or 2 oil filters? anything else? is the reset a pain also? thanks
If you have 4x4, use a 5gal bucket, drain the oil when it's around 80° (my preference). Then, slide the bucket under the oil filter, unscrew halfway and let it drain for a few mins, then unscrew all the way. It is very slick, takes good effort or two hands to control it. If you wear rubber gloves you can do it without any spilling or drips, not even wash ur hands.
The bucket is my preference. It's nearly full and it easily allows me to pour the used oil back into the gallon bottles so I can take it to recycle place.
Filling I use a big funnel that sticks in the tube and I can keep two hands on the gallon bottle. I never pre fill the oil filter. I always use exactly 13 qts. Very easy 20 minute deal.
