ficm question
i,ve been getting a balance contribution code for #5 injector almost every time i start the truck cold...also get a #2 one every once in a while...i recently installed a high amp alternator and have yet to get a balance code in 3 days time...my question is..do you think the higher output alt is masking a potential problem with in the ficm since the issue has seemed to went away....i've never had a voltage reading less than 47.5 if that matters....thanks for any input

5w-40 with rev-x... it starts a lot better with this new alternator...just found it odd that the injector codes went away after the install

I would also throw out there, put the batteries on a charger. Get them all topped off. I went through this a couple months back. Repaired FICM, 185amp alt, 2 new batteries. Some of the best money spent on my truck to date.
