Fuel gauge not working

Yesterday my fuel gauge stopped working it is pegged all the way to the left. I filled up the truck no change. Got home and my garage door opener would not work and when sitting in car the map lights wont come on, the overhed lights work when you open the door. Can not find any reference to what fuse any those items are connected to. is there a fuse for the fuel gauge?
Thanks for any help...

Also common for a connector to get water in it and corrode, causing many problems with various circuits in the truck. The connector is on the frame rail under the driver's seat area. There is a long plastic cover that needs to be pried off before you can see the connectors. Just look underneath, it will be obvious. Disconnect the lower of the two connectors and check for any signs of corrosion.

I pulled the outside cover off from there and did not see any damaged wires but I didnt pull the connector apart I will do that today. Does anyone have the wiring diagrams for the 2006 f150 I looked at other Ford diagram's section 89-1 & 89-2 that shows the vanity lights with ground going to g201 or g301 they all go to general area common ground connection (S900), where do i find that? section 10 is grounds but I cant find any diagrams for the grounds

S900 is a splice, not a ground. It is in the overhead harness near the take-out to the front map light connector. The only way to find it is to cut the harness open and trace the circuits.

How is your trucks battery health? Many electrical gremlins pop up when these trucks have a battery getting ready to fail. Once you rule that out, you can start chasing wires/ground/etc.

The info center says battery is good I still have the green light on the battery its self. found wiring diagrams and all grounds are good. Told it might be the body control module. I know it is behind the rear seat. But cant find a replacment. ( I thought I could plug a new in and if it fixed the problem that would be good if not I could return it.) does it need to be programmed but a Ford dealer?

check fuses

Hey I had the exact same problem, turns out the overhead dome lights were touching metal and shorting out a fuse. Replace fuse 24 should be a 15a, but disconnect your dome light console first.

I never figured it out I did pull all of the bulbs, no effect, had water leaking in windshield on Passenger side right above the fuse box. Later on I had a power window quit working after buying a new Regulator and not solving that problem, I pushed in the wire boots between the door and the cab & found broken wires. spliced them back together got the window to work and then traded it in... Got $14000 for it, thought that was good as low book was $8000. (they didnt notice the fuel gauge wasn't working). Jumped ship and bought a Ram 1500 ECODiesiel 22mpg city/ 27 hwy. Towing my TT I am seeing 15 mpg. That F150 5.4 never got better than 14 mpg empty...
